Good Rhythm OD for P90's?

I'm looking for a low to medium OD for rhythm work for my church band. I'm playing a Les Paul Jr. (through a marshall style amp with EL34s) and the P90 seems to be a bit picky when it comes to ODs. I have a Keeley Rat right now that I use for leads and heavier rhythm work and I love it, but I need something else.

OD's I've tried with the Jr.:
Ibanez TS9
Keeley TS9
MI Audio Blues Pro
OCD V4
and probably others I can't remember...

The TS9s were a bad match for the P90s IMO. Way too much mids goin on. The Blues Pro was better, but not what I was looking for and the OCD wasn't really what I was looking for either.

Any suggestions out there for an OD that fits my criteria?

Skreddy Screw Driver. I love it with just about any guitar/amp, but it is really great with P90s IMO. Very dynamic and open sounding, great for a chunky rhythm sound. Very flexible controls, easy to dial in for any rig.

Hm, the Blues Pro and OCD are two of the finer OD's these days but sound quite different, what didn't you like about those two?

I thought they sounded too compressed. The OCD more than the Blues Pro. The Timmy and Tim were some of the ODs that I was thinking about trying. The Screw Driver looks like its suited to more of a fuzz type sound? Does anyone have clips?
And the HBOD is just way out of my price range. :hide

Listen to the Skreddy Echo clips Howard Gee did on the Skreddy site - he used a Screw Driver for dirt and is playing a LP Special. VERY accurate representation of how they sound together.

That clip sounded great, but I'm looking for a rhythm OD. I've got the lead sounds covered with my Rat.

Both of these pedals love P-90's - the SK has more gain on tap and a very nice 3-band EQ for dialing in your tone - the COT / P-90 / Marshall-style amp combination is simply awesome for lower-gain rhythm playing.

I'd try pushing the amp a bit harder. If you can't get any dirt with P-90s plugged straight into the amp then it (the amp in question) probably has too much headroom.

Open sounding rhythm crunch that can handle the beef of P90's: Catlinbread Hyper Pak. Really, if you felt the Blues Pro was too compressed you're not going to dig the Silver Kiss, but the Hyper Pak is one of the most open sounding OD's out there.

I had a similar problem finding an OD to really match my P90's. In the end I found the Timmy and Screwdriver to be the best by far *possibly because you have so much control over the EQ on these two pedals *
Another pedal I'm loving with the P90's at the moment is the Menatone Kar Krash. Again, it's really easy to tailor the EQ to your needs. Going from Les Paul > Strat > Casino I can dial in a great Rhythm and Lead OD easily.

What are you looking for? Because I was going to mention the Blues Boy Deluxe, or even the Tube Zone (which does great low and medium gain).

Just roll your guitar's volume back a bit - voila! Rhythm tones.

Well I'm playing with my church band so we play stuff like Hillsongs, David Crowder, Matt Redman, etc. so I need an OD that will be able to cut through the mix but it can't be a tubescreamer...does that make any sense?

Yeah, I'd say check out the LTD (your choice of which flavor) and I still say the Tube Zone. It can do a more open version of what the LTD can do, plus it can do the higher gain stuff as well. You can get it to sound which ever way you want, and run at 18v it get's even tighter.
