My Godin is an OK guitar, but it's not my Les Paul. Has anyone put the Ghost system or any other hex pup in a Les Paul? The way that Brian Moore put the recepticle in the backplate works out great. Any ideas? Thanks

sure, it's doable.the wires from the ghost bridge can go through a notch cut in the bridge pickup's ring, or more permanently, through a hole straight down under the bridge, then through the bridge pickup cavity and on to the control cavity.

you'll need to lose the metal plate inside the control cavity, at which point you should have room for the circuit card. if you go with the acoustiphonic preamp as well as the hexpander synth system, you could have your 4 knobs be electric volume, electric tone, "acoustic" volume and synth volume. you'll need the 9v battery for the acoustic preamp, but if you just wanted the synth outputs and weren't going to use a piezo "acoustic" sound, you could skip the acoustiphonic card, and also wouldn't need a battery.

the only obviously permanent alteration of the guitar will be the extra jackplate for the 13 pin output.

Thanks for your answer. I've been playing the VG 88 and want to bring the LP into the picture. I'll post pics of the process, thanks!
