At long last I located my missing camera. Here are some quick pics of the 1956 Gibson SJ I picked up awhile back. The camera has an annoying tendency to add more yellow to the burst than there actually is but these are the best I can do for the time being.
The SJ has its own voice and puts out a very different sound than my '60 J-200. It has a brighter upper end but still will give you that warm and chunky old school Gibson bass. But it lacks the aggressive mids of the big box Gibson. Still, a great strummer.
