hey guys

maybe someone can help me...i have an 814 ce with the expression system which forces me to use a 1/4" to male xlr cable (balanced cable). but i want to plug into my pedal (visual sound H20) then into my amp (swr california blonde)

do they make a pedal where i can plug into it via xlr then use 1/4" for the rest or would that defeat the purpose of the balanced signal?

PLEASE HELP THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

thanks!

JP

You can probably get a lot more help here:

Or just call Taylor- they're usually very helpful with technical support.

Put the pedal in the SWR's effects loop.
Send to pedal in.
Pedal out to return.
That's what it's there for.

If you use a mono unbalanced cable it will be fine. Just think of the ES System as having built in impedance matching (like a direct box) if and only if you choose to use a TRS (balanced) cable.

Some guitars, mostly that came out in the 90s, had a unbalanced 1/4" jack as well as a balanced xlr jack to have the option of running either. Think of the ES System of utilizing both options with the same 1/4" jack.

If you must keep the signal balanced

Meant for the ES and has an effects loop.
