I'm looking for recommendations for a small pedal board, to be used only at home. I don't need to transport it, so carrying case/portability are unimportant.
I'm looking for a board that can support a volume pedal, tuner and four to five pedals.
As usual my local stores don't have squat, so I'm looking for some recommendations for something I can buy on-line.
Thanks.

I have the small Gator board as my B-rig. (Large one for my main board). They're nice and affordable, pretty well made.

Search "Pedalboard" and "Pedal Board" on eBay, you'll find a lot of options you can go with. The small Pedaltrain(Jr) w/softcase sounds like a pretty good solution.

There's a Pedaltrain 2 in the Emporium right now, with no case, for $60 shipped:

That price is tough to beat, even if you build your own, and it would give you a little room to grow! :)

If you don't need a case to protect it for gigs, then homemade is fine.
And a fun afternoon project too!

+1. You can go cheaper if you can find some scrap wood.
I use this- http://cgi.ebay.com/Johnson-GUITAR-EFFECTS-PEDAL-BOARD-Powered-Road-Case_W0QQitemZ120295373785QQihZ002QQcategoryZ41412 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It is sweet because it will power 6 9v pedals.
