Hi,

I have a Vox ac15cc1 with the stalk speaker. I'm looking to swap the speaker out and replace it with a weber alnico bluedog or celestion alnico blue. The only problem is that I don't know anything about changing speakers whatsoever, but i'm told that it's pretty easy.

I see that the little cable with 2 black and red wires that connects from the speaker to the amp seems to be soldered onto the speaker (i've been told it should be clipped on the speaker but it doesn't look like it, it looks soldered). Will i need to unsolder this? Would a new speaker come with that cable so i dont gotta unsolder it?

From there i understand that's its just a matter of screwing it into the place etc.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot!

New speakers don't come with a harness, so it's just a matter of un-soldering/ unclipping the old speaker, undoing the bolts holding it in, and installing the new speaker. In a vox you will probably have to take the amp chassis out to get to the speaker.
Just go slow and you will be fine.
