Looking for a good sounding rackmount reverb/delay unit that's MIDI controllable. I'm looking for a real clean unit to be used in the effects loop of a Mesa Boogie LSC. Dont want to spend more than about $500.00 if possible. Anyone have anything to share? I play classic folk/rock/country stuff. Thanks alot for your help.

Rocktron Intellifex is the cleanest, most transparent rack unit I ever owned that didn't change the amp's tone in an FX loop. You can find them used around 250-350 from time to time. Gorgeous multitap chorus and verbs. Sounds great with a LSC.

I have a line 6 echo pro for sale...$450. perfect condition.
some big names use em'...
pretty feature laden, nice sounding unit.
no reverb...but you could cop a reverb-ish sound with one of the patches for sure.
PM me if interested.

The Echo pro is a good choice.

For me it would be:

1. Lexicon MPX-1- Amazing delays and reverbs and can be had for about 350.00. Not the easiest to program but worth the work.

2. TC Electronic G Major- Intuitive interface designed specifically for guitar players. Can be picked up for 250.00.

3. Line 6 Echo Pro- A lot of available tones but a might expensive at 450.00-500.00.

I hope this helps.

+1 for G Major. Or you could buy a used SPX-90 and have Dave Phillips at L.A. Sound Design load it with the Landau presets. I would ask this same question over at www.hugeracks.com.

The SPX would be a great choice except it is a single effect at a time unit.

I can hip you to the Landau presets as I own Dave' SPX now.:D
