8/21 - Mambo Sons Live in Willimantic, CT - Free Show

Here's another gig notice for anyone interested...

On Thursday, August 21, 2008, Omnicide Records presents Mambo Sons, performing a special free concert live at Willimantic's 3rd Thursday Street Fest, starting at 6pm on the Midtown Stage.

Mambo Sons is Tom Guerra (guitar and vocals), Scott Lawson (lead vocals and bass), and Joe "The Cat" Lemieux (drums and vocals).

For those unfamiliar, The 3rd Thursday Street Fest is a great outdoor event attracting thousands of people amid a background of musical, theatrical, visual and olfactory delights, all on a closed down Main Street, Willimantic. Plus, there is a lot of beer.

The Sons will play an extended set of their original rock and roll music from their 3 cds, plus some choice covers!

Just found out that I have a meeting in Springfield until 5 - I may still try to make it but if not, have a great show.

Glad to hear it went well - I was beat from work and seeing the ABB Wednesday (not too good of a show unfortunately - Gregg needs some more recovery time I think).
