Shooter Bob is hosting a jam! I am posting this here in the new gig alert forum thinking there may be a couple of new eyes to see it:

We're Havin' A Jam in Connecticut!!!

Make plans now to attend Bob's New England Jam 16!

Yes indeed, seeing as how there are so many folks here from "The Nutmeg State," I thought it would be appropriate to invite y'all to the BIG JAM!

This is a MULTI-FORUM JAM and many of our friends from other guitar forums will be in attendance!

..................Be advised! ..................

"This is a Harmonica Free Zone!"
I'm sorry but, too many inconsiderate harp guys have ruined it for the few that can actually play.

This event will be held at:
The New England Muscle Bike Museum
8 Peters Rd, Bloomfield, CT.

Saturday August 30th

Grab a guitar and join us for another one of those crazy New England Jams!

Festivities Start at 12:00 noon and go on til the cops come!

What you can expect:
An outdoor stage area
Host band to back you up
All amps, mics, drum kit, provided. Bring your own guitar, sticks and strings!

The gas grill will be churning out your favorite brazzier foods.

Everyone gets to play with a great host band in a very supportive, nurturing environment no matter how skilled or how new you are to jamming.

Have a look at some of the extremely cool bicycles at The New England Muscle Bike Museum! If you've ever owned a Schwinn String Ray or a Raliegh Chopper, you've got to see this place!

While there is no official "charge" for this jam, we will be passing the hat to cover expenses like food, drinks and the host band. Most people will donate $20 or so.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

See you at the jam!!!

It was Roadeye! Did you make it by Hal71? The jam turned out to be the least attended of the 16 ShooterBob has hosted. Maybe because it was so far from where they are usually held (New Haven and Fairfield Counties) we didn't get as many NJ and NY folks. Either way, it was fun meeting new people and catching up with old friends!!

Yup, I was the guy with the very curious 5-year-old :)

Good to meet some of you guys. Some ripping players among you. Wish I could have stayed longer. You guys are way out of my league. I guess that gives me something to work towards for next year.

Cool bikes!

Nice! I loved your son's air guitar dance! I was going to bring my 8 yo, maybe next time....
