Just call them and tell 'em what you need and they'll take care of you. A bunch of quality, class guys, and very helpful.

Which transformer? The common failed OT? If so, then it's just basically a 2xEL-84 upright mount tranny. The only real problem w/ doing the replacement if you're not real familiar w/ the inside of tube amps, is making sure you understand where each wire goes because the Brit color coding of the wires is completely different that the USA color coding...

call Paul or Patrick...

Yeah I just didn't want to bug patrick. He's a buddy.

Thanks!

I assume it's the OT, as the amp has barely any output, and the tubes are fine.

Anyone have a wiring conversion? It looks like it's pretty easy, not much to that board.

I'm starting to think I may be just about the only Velo owner/user with an original OT, Mike.;) I hope your get it fixed quickly (and safely).

LOL

When I gigged it, it was fine. I ran it about a 3rd up with a tube screamer,.
I loaned it to a buddy, and warned him (and of course I expected it to go, knowing it's an issue) and he was cranking it with a full band. Boom. LOL

Good excuse for the upgrade, the mercury should sound way better than that cheesy thing. I may update the speaker too. Great little amp though, it served me well for a long time in coffee house country gigs.

Glad the family is safe JP.

Velos love to be dimed, though...:D

Thanks for the kind words, Mike. There are a lot of broken families in a world of hurt over here right now.
