Im building a pedalboard, space is tight because a few boxes are rather big (korg G4, black finger tube comp, EH electric mistress, ect..) so if it was down to 3 or 4, a MXR script phase 90 or a phase 100, 70's EH small stone, or this thing below... what would you use?

since i run a ehx DEM & DMM i kinda know how you feel... obviously that thing has gotten a lot of use so i'm assuming you're pretty attached to it-- if you can find a smaller replacement that works for you just the same, well, good. if not... put the polyphase on the board and see how it sits with you. you'll have to weigh real estate value vs musical necessity. and i think you can only do that by experimenting with different setups.

i've never used a polyphase but i have a vintage small stone and i love it, and leaves me plenty of room for other stuff

Thats what im leaning to i think, i like the milky phase of the small stone alot... i used this polyphase on a record in the past, but i dont actually fire it up that much (i actually dont turn on phase to much at all in general) which is another reason im leaning towards the smaller small stone.

well if you're not absolutely in love with it then all bets are off

i only justify my big box EHX stuff 'cause i know i'd miss them every time i played.

I had a polychorus and DMM. If i added a polyphase and electric mistress I could have had a 4 pedal PT-Pro :D

bottom line.... if it works and you dig it, then don't compromise. Tone is tone.

Man, if it you feel its a must use it, but I would never add that HUGE pedal to any board, it just consumes WAY to much space.

I think that this thing is so huge and has so empty space
that you can attach to it any mxr size pedal you want

nope. If it was a pedal I used a lot though I'd set up a little patch in box on the edge of my board to plug it in to. That way I can use it whenever but it isn't taking up poo loads of space.

Naw, its not a must use... i played around with the old small stone again tonite, since its going to be on a loop, im thinking about changing the on/off foot switch on the SS to be the color switch so i can get both phase tones out of the footswitch and just have it always on... i mean, since itll be in a loop and all.

I would opt for the MXR Script Phase 90, it's one knob and sounds good wherever you set it and takes up only a very small spot on your board.
