Nice. Just a great classic sound. I've really torn on whether to try a 67 type kit from metro or a 69 which I'm much more familiar with. I'm afraid the 67 may get a little soft when driven hard for rock with humbuckers.

Wow, that's a great tone! I wonder how much of it is coming from the Bad Monkey and how much is the Metros sound. Do you have any Metro clips without the Bad Monkey? It seems to be a great amp!

I'm trying to stay away from Plexi threads/clips because I know I'll wind up up buying something, and this clip might do it to me. Sounds great- was a cab/mic involved or was the direct out of the Hotplate recorded? Either way, I want that tone. Thanks for posting.

i was using that i was using the marshall 1960AHW cab. i think that's what it is called. It is the handwired angled marshall cabinet.

then i just placed the zoom H2 in front of the cab, from a distance, and hit record.

alex, here is a clip i recorded a week earlier, with a wildwood 10 strat, directly into the metro, with no pedals. hotplate was on -16db as well

i'm sure the amp can sound even better with the attenuator being something like the Ultimate Attenuator. however i can't afford that right now.
