help trace elliot problem

hi,

I bought a second hand gp7sm amp , 150 watt 300 peak from the early '90s
BUT I have a problem , at rehearsek I used to play with another amp 120 watt,
now I wanted to use the trace elliot and I cant overpower the drums , gain volume is 7 and master is set at 4 , I thought 150 watt could easily overpower the drums ...

Can you tell me what could be wrong with it ? I'm really desperate :(

Could be a few things.What speakers,what tubes,has it ever been serviced,etc.We need more details.I know some 20 watt amps that can be heard easily over drums.
