Trouble emission testing Russian 12AX7's?

Just checking a bunch of Russian 12AX7's on my Eico 625 tester. I noticed that most of the EH and "Tung Sols " I tested failed. They seem to work well in one of my amps. Im wondering if anybody has run across this? The tester seems to work fine on all my old stock ,Chinese and JJ's. Blue Strat you out there? Bob

Many new Russian 12ax7's test weak on my Eico emission tester, too---- but most of them, the good ones anyway, sound strong in amps--- i have no idea why---- maybe it's an Eico thing ?.................gldtp99

Maybe. The tester seems to work fine on virtually every other 12AX7 ever made. Guess we need to find out if it happens on other testers as well... Bob

Send me one of the weak ones and I'll test it on a BK700 for comparison. The BK isn't the best tester for 12AX7 but most all tubes pass except some used Chinese AX's I tested recently.
