Quick question: Eventide TimeFactor + FX loop

As far as I'm concerned something of this caliber should not have any prblem working well through the FX loop. I returned a TC Nova Delay that worked like a charm through my amp's FX loop, but had fewer options in terms of note subdivisions and sounds, flexibility, etc. I just tried my TimeFactor through the loop and pops everytime I bypass an effect!!! By the way the level switches are in the correct setting. I'll need to keep checking it to see what's going on, but for the moment, could you guys give me some suggestions? Not sure, maybe it's the amp's FX lop that could be kinda crappy, but like I said the TC worked PERFECTLY, sounded awesome.

Check out which bypass mode you're using. I would recommend DSP+DLY - which leaves the buffer on and allows the delays to trail off when you hit bypass.

form the manual:
When [DSP+DLY] is selected, Bypass combines the audio at the DSP’s inputs with the DSP’s outputs AND stops feeding any new input signal to the DSP Effects inputs. This is a handy way to Bypass an Effect without abruptly killing the tail of the Effect that you’ve been using.

If you haven't already, try updating to the latest software (2.0... I think). I had the original soft and noticed some level changes when switching on/off. After the software update these went away. Could be a similar situation for you...

Cool I haven't even looked into that. Using USB? I should read the last part of the manual, LOL! ONLY READ THE FUN PART! Love that band delay, the perfect ones for me are the digital and especially the ducked delay! Also, happy w/ the better control I have over rhythmic subdivisions as opposed to the Nova Delay.

what levels are you inputs/outputs??


its gotta match your FX loop to sound good. Line level/line level or pedal level/pedal level.
