man...i was pretty surprised when i opend up that old hammond everett organ in my rehearsal room and found the following tubes after the dust was away:

2x ef86 made in UK
2x 12ax7 made in US
2x 7247 Tubes
1x ECC81
2x EL84 Mullard

All the tubes are labeld with everett.

Anyone knows more about everett? I guess i've read that hammond purchased everett in the '60s...

What can i do with the ECC81 and the 7247...useable for any guitar amps?

One of the EF86 is working great in my Hayseed!
Soon gonna try the 12ax7.

Thanks

Don't know anything about Everett, but it was common practice for OEM's to have the tube mfg.'s relabel for them. Sometimes they were also screened better too. Probably they are some good old USA or European mfg. tubes. ECC81 is same as 12AT7. 7247 is a double triode. One section is similar to a 7025, the other is similar to a 12AU7. Typically used as a gain stage with a cathode follower in hi-fi apps.

Just a point of clarification. 12AX7,12AT7,5751,12AU7, etc are all dual triode as well as the 7247 . The 7247 just has "loopsided" triodes as mentioned. Its also known as a 12DW7. It can be used in interesting ways if you know how both halves are used in an amp . Although often they are just cascaded sometimes they are not. Bob

The 7247 is used a LOT in old Magnavox era Ampeg SVT heads. Some people like the 7247/12DW7 in their Fender reverb driver socket. My buddy jammed an old RCA I had into his '76 Vibrolux and loved it.

That ECC81 is the same as a 12AT7. Stick it in your PI and crank the preamp a little harder. If it's a Mullard, sell it to me because I need a Mullard for my reverb driver in my Marshall :D
