man...i was pretty surprised when i opened up that old hammond everett organ in my rehearsal room and found the following tubes after the dust was away:

2x ef86 made in UK
2x 12ax7 made in US
2x 7247 Tubes
1x ECC81
2x EL84 Mullard

All the tubes are labeled with everett.

Anyone knows more about everett? I guess i've read that hammond purchased everett in the '60s...

What can i do with the ECC81 and the 7247...useable for any guitar amps?

One of the EF86 is working great in my Hayseed!
Soon gonna try the 12ax7.

Thanks

My Magnatone/Estey M-15A uses them.

Here's (http://www.vibroworld.com/magnatone/M15A.html) a link to a circuit description of the M-15A.

7247 = 12DW7

http://tubes.mkdw.net/sheets/135/7/7247.pdf

Miniature type used for combined first- and second-stage audio preamplification in high-fidelity phonograph or tape equipment. Requires miniature 9-contact socket.

The 2 sections are of unequal gain so it might not sound great depending on how the amp socket is wired.
1 section is about the same as a 7025, the other is about the same as a 12AU7.

The EZ81 is used in Vox amps and in the Marshall 18W.

Where is the EZ81?
The ECC81 is the same as a 12AT7,used for fender reverb drivers.

EZ81 is a rectifier.

A buddy of mine scored an old Hammond organ for free. The thing must have 50 tubes in it and most of them are 12ax7, 12at7, 12ay7, and 12au7 types.

It is the kind of organ you would see in living rooms in the 40's and 50's. It belonged to someone's parents who died and the son was clearing out the house.

The organ fires up and works too.

I know what an EZ81 is,it's just not on the original poster's list of tubes.

Just be careful gutting working Hammond organs, You could very easily be gutting a B-3 which is worth far more whole than all of the tubes combined!

I grabbed a mint B-3 with leslie unit at a farm/estate auction for $18.00, the new owner was thrilled to get it for $2400.00.
