Blues Jr Speaker install

Hey everyone- I recently just purchased a Celestion G12H30 to replace the stock speaker in my Blues Jr. Do I have to remove the chassis?

Yes, but it's not a difficult job.

ditto. You only need to remove the chassis to get the speaker in and out. Nothing else needed. This was a pretty simple job. I did it on mine in less than 20 min.

How do I do that? Just by removing the screws on each side of the cab?

Take off back tolexed black cover (something like 8 screws or so).

For SAFETY make sure amp is unplugged and bleed voltage off the caps.

Unplug the speaker jack from the chassis... eventually you have to remove from the speaker also. Remember which hole the speaker cables to (the one closest to the center).

Take out 4 screws that hold in chassis... keep a hand underneath to hold the chassis as the screws come out...but don't the caps or stuff inside the chassis.

Now remove 4 screws holding in speaker and reverse the process.
