Letting any Perthite's know about a couple of residencies I'm involved with, both at the Llama Bar in Subiaco.
If you come down be sure to introduce yourself (I only look pissed off) and tell Bones the soundguy to turn the damn guitar up
Wednesdays, 8:30 - 11:30: The Royals
featuring Simon Fisenden (bass, vox), Andy Fisenden (drums, bv's), myself (acoustic and electrics, bv's) and Troy Roberts (tenor sax)
Playing some rock, blues, reggae, soul etc (eg Marley, Ben Harper, Sting, Diesel, SRV)
$10 steaks!!!!
Thursdays, 9:30 -12:00: Sly
myself (electric only) and Andy again, with Dane Alderson (bass), Graham Wood (keys), Carl Mackey (alto and tenor sax)
Jazz Rock Funk Fusion, yeah that's right (eg Sco, Stern, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Tribal Tech, the occasional original)
Basically I play my major pentatonics on Wed and everything else I can think of on Thurs. We sometimes get touring bands check us out, hung out
with James Valentine from Maroon 5, and I told him to check out the Gear Page! Spreading the good word.
ps Rewog if you read this, looking forward to trying out the new drive pedal, Peter keeps teasing me with it
