Hello,
I just sent off my M1000 I picked up for $200 to Lee Jackson to fix.
I have been using Splawn QRs for 2 yrs now and am wondering what its going to sound like.
Can I milk good tones from her or should I sell her right out?
I like it loud and thats all I've heard about this beast:crazyguy

I have a Lee Jackson XLS1000. I've heard they are similar but I have no experience with your amp. All I can say is my XLS1000 is KILLER!
Enjoy it. Especially for $200!

My Crate Stealth is pure 80's metal tones. (think Ratt) I can only imagine the chewy metal goodness that would come out of the M1000! Bob

Chewy metal goodness......I love it! I'll be checking out a Peavey Ultra 112 tonight that I hope will make my "metal sweet tooth" happy...

Not to go too far off topic but the Ultra 112 is a great amp! Ive had mine since new in 97. Never gave me an ounce of trouble. A bit fatter, warmer than most Ultra series Ive tried amps for some reason and as versatile as all of them. Covers from metal to rock easily. Hooked up to my G12K-100 loaded cab and it screams! Heres a pic of mine with its recently acquired big brother. Bob

A question for the original post, I had read somewhere that Lee wasn't taking amps anymore for repairs/mods?

Yes he is,I just talked to him Friday. Cool guy :) he has always anwsered my emails and questions about his amps. I had a Ampeg 502 before and he was very helpful.
Some guy I knew on another forum sold it to me as is for $200 buckroos.
I think that was my deal of the year :)
