Need to change it up a little I've been playing Hamer specials, sustainblock, medium-thin neck, WCR Goodwood's/Darkburst into a Matamp or Cornford Road House. 2x12 with Scholz Speakers. Normally straight in except a Treble Booster on the dirty Matamp and a Fuzz on the clean Matamp.

I've tried alot of guitars and the 82 special has the perfect feel for me. I need something for the clean Matamp that is more articulate as I'm playing some Punk Rockabilly; Pagans, Cramps, X, etc.

I was thinking of a Newport or Newport 90, maybe an Artist but they are probably close to what I have. I was wondering what other Hamers would fit the bill. Nothing too big either in the body or the neck. But I'm also been looking into some Tokai Es-335 clones or a Yamaha AS2000.

Thanks for the help.

PS: No Fenders or Gibsons

for what you play go to wall mart.... you do not want a 335 but will buy a clone? so go to wallmart.... the audiance cannot tell the difference because they are 1. drunk on cheap beer and 2. to busy talking so no on pays attention to you. not trying to be rude just life.....

frankly you give the impression you are an snob, but antiestablishment.... you will not buy a 335, but might spend 2500 on an non gibson 335... punk went out of fashion about 20 years ago. do you have a mohawk?

not to much just trying to understand someone that acts as a booteeky gear slut that only plays "clones" but wants the sound of an original... he just sounds like some dude with issues... lots of stores that have c.s. gibsons and fenders like wildwoodguitars.com... kind of reminds me of the prs snbs of the 90s early 2000s... "i will only play a PRS" now they dumped them all. :lol wood is wood and pickups are pickups....

p.s. even marylin masnon's (sp?) guitar player plays a fender.... he is about as weird (looking) as you can get.

Wow I thought only HarmonyCentral had trolls. Why don't you go back and play with the kids JamesT.

To other TGP's let me explain why no Fenders and Gibson's.

First no Fenders because I've tried quite a few tele's and strats and don't care for them. They just don't feel right for me.

No gibsons because I've tried the ES models and they cost too much for the quality you get. I tried the Epiphones and they felt horrible. I do have a couple Les Pauls. Firebird I don't like the shape or the neck position when you play.

I did go try some IbanezArtcore and they were ok but I really did like the Gretsch HotRod.

Get real and get a Telecaster, can't get much more "articulate" than that.
