so i was in barnes and noble earlier today and came across one of the many guitar magazines and john mayer was plastered on the front hugging one of his strats (the gray one with the white guard). what i noticed more than anything else was the tone and volume knobs on the strat....they were sweet looking. they were white or cream plastic, column like with only a small marker on the top of the column.......any idea if there are knobs out there like that? point me in the right direction.....

unfortunately i can't recall what the actual name of the magazine was....sorry.

I think those are bassman knobs.

The magazine is 'Guitarist', it is a really good British guitar magazine.

I actually saw those on a shelf at West La music today, so fender apparently sells them separately.

They're the knobs from Fender's "blonde amp" period.

You will either have to replace the pots with solid shaft units, or get adapters to go over the knurled shafts on your existing pots...or the white (amp) knobs will fit on all crooked and funky

I have NEVER seen these before, let alone even knew such a thing existed! (and yes, I had replaced pots before just because I wanted certain knobs ;). Very cool tip, thanks!!
