Hey everyone,
After a few years in the works, this fine book has finally been published:
http://www.amazon.com/Hand-Made-Played-Contemporary-Guitars/dp/1579907873/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217952819&sr=8-4
It features many of TGP small builders such as Briggs, Baker and myself. It isn't much of a read, more killer pictures and specification than anything - but cool nonetheless and for less than $25, good "library" material for sure. Just thought I would share.

I'm a little miffed that they didn't use any of my photos for the Chapin page. Aw well...

Ron,
Have you seen the book yet? I'm still waiting for my copy.
I was going to pass the info along on this. It seems like a 'must have' for any guitar geek. With over 350 pictures I can imagine many hours of drooling over some beautiful and unique instruments.
I feel very honored to have been included in this publication. The author told me I have 2 entires covered in it, and I can't wait to see it!
Cheers,

Jack, my copy arrived last Thursday, as did Michael Spalt's who has many represented in there as well.
You're looking good though, that sycamore is beautiful. We both share the "Electric Guitar" chapter title pages too...but they "flipped" mine like it's a lefty ?!?!
Plenty of non-electrics in there as well, the resonator chapter is very inspiring.

I just got my advance copy, and I've got to say that it's a superb book. And that's not because I have submissions in it. It is really a guitar nut's 'must have'. I'm very happy with the turnout.
Kudos to all the builders on TGP that had their instruments shown in the book!!! :BEER

Congrats, Ron et al.! P.S. For some reason, when I read the title, I immediately thought of the old Flock tune, "Store Bought, Store Thought." :D

That is weird, that inlay is killin'!!
It's a great book. Awesome builders, pics and specs. :dude
I think a Grosh Set Neck should be in there, but I supoose there aren't enough pages for all of the great small builders.

I agree - Grosh is covered really well in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Electric-Guitar-Sourcebook-Find-Sounds/dp/0879308869/ref=pd_sim_b_5
The Set Neck is covered as well as a really great interview with Don Grosh.

That's because what the author of the book really wanted to show was the beautiful wild rose inlay you put on my fretboard!
Still loving #006, thanks Ron!
