For those of you complaining about your Sex Drive being to large :jo. Well you asked for it. New smaller Sex Drive is in production! 2.25"x4.25"
No components have been downgraded from the larger version.

Ah come on Al. You know many of your Sex Drive users are blues guys and the very first thing they will say is that the old one sounded better.
Which reminds me. How many blues guitarists does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: 19
One guitarist to put in the new bulb and 18 to complain about how much they liked the old one.
Congrats on the new pedal. I'm still liking my original but if I need more space on my board or a second SD it will be the one I buy.

Well no the price is the same $219.00 It actually takes longer to fit everything in these smaller boxes. I wish you could hear the moans and groans coming from the guys right now.
Yes the Mucho Boosto is next. I am also going to increase the level on the Boosto to be over the unity that it runs at now.

Inevitably, morons will claim that the larger one sounds better.

Associated PRICE reduction too?
Without a doubt, stuffing that circuit into a smaller enclosure is more time consuming and expensive to do. The difference in price between the enclosures is negligible.

The components have more breathing room in the larger enclosure. It's a simple fact of electronics that more breathing room allows the components to reveal sweeter, softer tones.

If any pedal is going to be better big....it's the Sex Drive... I'm keeping my BIG one ;)

The old ones really aren't that big and the knobs are cooler IMO...I'd just like to add that I just got a SD and man this pedal is awesome! It makes my Twin reverb really sing.

I guess you're discontinuing the old ones?
This thread doesn't help my urge to try/buy some Durham stuff!
Keep up the great work. Your user list says it all.

Hey Al,
I read in an old thread where you said the components would "suffer" if you put them into a smaller box, and that the price would be cheaper if you did. What gives?

I never thought I could fit it all in a 1290 enclosure without going to plastic jacks. I was wrong. As for the price being cheaper, if anything these should be $20 more.
Or should I just go all "Republican" on you and say "I never said that"?
