I'm working on a project that has some switching requirements. Basically I'm wanting to chain the Normal channel in series with the Vibrato channel on a Silverface twin using it like a boost/distortion mode.
I've come across these channel switching boards from Weber.. anyone have any experience with them?

It won't work anyway because the two channels are out of phase with eash other. The Twin is not like a Marshall where you can jumper the channels.
Try modding the normal channel instead and using an A/B box.On yout twin,if you lift the tone stack the second gain stage will really boost the signal and give you a nice overdrive. There are lots of other ways too,but combining the channels simply won't work.

The channels wont be in parallel like bridging inputs on a Marshall...They will be in series (chained, cascaded etc.), the output of one into the input of the other. Channel one won't be able to be used by itself, only as a boost mode.
There's a couple examples in the Kevin O'Connor books.

Ah,I see.Serious mods.
Those weber switching circuits would likely work just fine.I use NTE relays for my Overdrive Rocket amps with no issues at all.I use the 5v rectifier windings for a power source, but there are other ways too.
Having your switching boards already to go is a nice touch.

Yup serious stuff http://www.thegearpage.net/board/images/icons/icon12.gif ...
This is a 135W UL Twin that my pal had sitting around doing nothing for the last 20 years so I'm taking some creative license with it.
I ran across the Weber boards and was wondering if it was to good to be true for 14 bucks. Now I just need to figure out where to put it, space is at a premium.
