I got some caps from "outtahear", paper in oil, and they work wonders for both my Epi LP and Squire Strat.

I had thought about changing pots but with the new cas installed the factory pots work better now, more working range.
And I can actualy use the tone controls now, they are a continuous sweep than an on-off.
On the LP I did change the wiring to the 59 style and the Strat to the bridge tone.

A friend of mine came over last night and wants me to install the caps in one of his LP's and this guy NEVER mods his gear.

So, just wanted to say thanks to Outtahear for some great upgrades at a great price.

That's cool. Little changes can sometimes make a big difference.

Now lets get started on those tubes in your amp! :AOK

I think it's called the "placebo effect"

I just added new paper and oil caps, along with a '50s wiring mod to my '86 SG and the difference ain't placebo. It sounds 100 time better.

Its true the differences are audible........Even more so with good vintage Spragues......
