so what tubes you guys running?

right now i have some no namers in there. im wanting to achieve a very "edge" like clean. from my experience with the amp so far.... im geussing that this sound will come from the top boost side.

any suggestions?

JJ tubes with an old RFT EF86...I tried the JJ EF806S and it became microphonic after a few months.

all early 60's Mullards except the EF86 is a 58 mullard long plate and the EZ81 rectifier a 59 Mullard

The greatest noticible improvement was when I rolled the last tube the EZ81 to the NOS Mullard after allready rolling everthing else.

I tried a bunch of NOS variants in the Hayseed and I can get along with the JJ tubes fine. I am not a big fan of Mullard EL84s but those dogs will certainly hunt.

I really like the old BB, Tesla and TFKN EL84 tubes...not too shabby.

i've found some old ef86 in my hammond organ, which i currently use one in my hayseed 30. I like it ;-)
