Hi all
I just got used a Brunetti Mille preamp (superb thing) and it has 3 channels (the third has 2 switchable settings)
On the back there is a 5 pin xlr for a footswitch or 4 standard jacks (one for each channel/sound). No footswitch though.
If I put a jack in the jack sockets and short it, that channel comes on. What do I need to do to make a footswitch for all 4 channels?
4 switches each connected directly to their relevant jack socket on the amp? What happens if 2 switches are on? Is there a way to make it so that the last switch is the only active one? Can it be damaged by having 4 switches all shorted??
Sorry of this is cryptic, but just don't want to do something dumb and hope someone can explain something about channel switching!
Thx
David

According to the manual, the 5 pin is not XLR...its MIDI. A standard MIDI controller will work with this amp. This would be your best option for this preamp.

Thx, but the midi thing was an option, so mine is just wired as a switch parallel to the 3 jack sockets...(there are 3. I said 4, but there are only 3. Clean is when no switches are on and the others are crunch/lead1/lead2)
thanks for the answer though!

Considering there are separate jacks for the switching, I highly doubt they would need anything more than a permanent (non-momentary) switch to do the trick. As for what the switches would actually do, I'd just wire up some shorted 1/4" jacks and try the different combinations out and see which settings override other settings.
