Hey folks,

Just sharing some photos of my new OEM cabinet builder, Mather Cabinet, http://www.mathercab.com

This is the first Nolatone cabinet he's done, and hopefully many more to come!

Great work and reasonable prices. He did Carr Amps's cabinets before they set up shop in house. This guy's a player too, so he knows what good cabinets need to be built like!

I'm stoked about having Peter on board. Second to none quality, and no more sawdust between my toes or tolex glue under my fingernails!

This Peter's first unit for my Nolatone 22 Tango. I just switched to having Mather Cabinet do my cabs instead of doing them myself! I think it will be money well spent!! :-)

Wanted to plug them though as they are excellent and great to work with.

Yeah - Peter does great work. He worked with me over the last 5 years at Heritage. The only thing is - that's not Pete in the picture! It's his helper Gary...

i've got 3 mather cabs: a stock 2x12 from Heritage, a custom Heritage slant-front 2x12 (1/4 stack), and a custom Mather slant-front 1x12.

nothing but praise to offer in quality, value, customer service

Thought I'd post a followup. Growing more fond every week of working with Peter Mather. He's delivered every unit on time, each one has been flawless, and he's started having cabinets started for me before I even order then to help out with the lead time.

He also did a head/extension for a one off order (we'll be offering a head shortly). I didn't even send him a drawing. We just talked about the basics of how it should look and he put it together. It looks stellar!

It's great to have a guy who plays guitar and has a clue about what a cabinet should be like and sound like (though I designed my cabinet myself...don't want to give credit away on that, haha).

You will do well for yourself dealing with Mather Cabinet. Class act.

I think that bottom cab in the custom cabs on the Mather website might be mine. Not sure though.

Paul,

Congratulations on your success. I think you'll be very happy with Peter. Very early on I was making my own cabs until Mark Baier said, "You can't do that." He was so right.

TGPers,

I can't recommend Peter highly enough for your custom cabinet needs. Not very fond of hardwood, but that doesn't mean he doesn't build a killer cab. Do yourself a favor. Call him at the shop before you pull the trigger on something else.

Hey Smitty. I've heard your name a few times talking to Peter :BEER.

I'm planning on making a trip up to meet Peter in person at some point. Maybe you can join us for beers!

Here's pick of a couple I just shipped today (er, yesterday). I'd been doing only combos so far, but we did a special order for a head (we're offering heads starting in January '09, preorders now). The head/ext cab Peter came up with based on a phone conversation. I said, "you're the man, make it happen", and this is what happened:

Yeah, Pete's the bomb since he helped me put a 67' 100wt headbox back to stock with probably the most realistic "vintage" looking green tolex job I've ever seen! He knows his stuff!

it's a shame when anyone has to contend with unsatisfactory customer service at any time.

my experience with Mather cabs: 5 Heritage amps, incl. combo and heads and separate speaker cabs, 1 one-off amp + cab, 3 custom cabs to my specs (1x12 slant-front, 2x12 slant-front, 1x8 naked pine). all are or were impeccable in materials, construction, and workmanship. all "sound" great. the custom jobbies were done in time promised and at excellent prices. Peter answered all calls or returned e-mail, usually same day or within 24 hrs. a pleasure to deal with & i'm planning on ordering a custom 1x15.

Definitely the best cabs out there.
I've had several custom cabs built by Peter Mather, and i must admit, not one fellow guitar player did not drop their jaw when they saw the workmanship, but even better, heard the sound.
I would not hesitate a second to order more, and i might just do that, since i have a project roaming around between my two ears!!
