I am trying to come up with a 90's-today set of rock oriented covers that'd go over well at a bar. This isn't for a bar band, but it should be accessible. I'd prefer to limit the cheese factor, and don't want anything pre-90's. The newer the better. Maybe some Maroon 5? Who else???:RoCkIn
Are You Gonna Be My Girl? Jett
Runaround Blues Traveler
Waiting on the World to Change John Mayer
I Dont Need No Doctor John Mayer
Remedy The Black Crowes
Hard to Handle The Black Crowes
You Dont Know How it Feels Tom Petty
Life is a Highway Tom Cochrane/Rascall Flatts
If Everyone Cared Nickelback

Having a disconnect from one sentence to the next.

It's a long story, but I need some popular tunes that aren't the typical bar rock tunes...Sweet Home Alabama, Brown-Eyed Girl, etc. At the same time, I don't think songs that have never been on the radio before would go over either. See the list I posted...people (non-mucisians) know almost all of those songs, but they aren't over played bar standards that you can see every bar band in the world play.

We do a few 90's-00's tunes.... The only one that goes over every time is Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down. Hey Jealousy by the Gin Blossoms is a distant 2nd.
We mainly play middle aged/biker type bars so YMMV.....

Even though I am 27, I tend to dislike a lot of post 1970's music. It is always hard for me to brainstorm like this...it is just a one time thing, so if I can't figure out a few more it is no big deal.
Thanks!

I have a gig like this coming up soon. Not my usual cup of tea, but some of the songs we're doing are interstate love song, parallel universe by the chili peppers, and "the way" by fastball. I'm actually digging the way - hopefully we can have some fun with that one

Dani California goes over real big at the places we play, Kryptonite, some nights Rockstar goes over huge, some nights not so much. Hard to Handle (yeah I know it was 60's originally)
