I'm 27 and I have a feeling he'll outlive me and still rock harder than I ever did.

Amazing what hair plugs and face lifts can do for a rich rock star!

Actually, it might be a wig.

You people don't share my opinion?!?! In a discussion forum?!?! Rediculous! As soon as I think of some witty things to say you're in for such an enormous dis!

He'd better hope he doesn't hit the wall as hard as Dick did. Real life Dorian Gray story, Dick's was.

I agree with HurricaneJesus.

Say what you will about his appearance, there has never been a better male vocalist before or since. His voice is still as great as it ever was. For a guy that's been singing professionally since he was in his teens, I think that's pretty impressive.

His best work has always been in Free IMHO. I've always loved his voice, but the only criticism I have for Paul Rodgers is the more cock-rock aspects of Bad Co. material and the Muddy Waters tribute record in general.

Yeah, he's had some work done, but...who cares? He's the best male vocalist to ever grace a microphone IMHO. His talents more then outweigh any superficialities (is that a word) in his appearance.

Great voice, best work with Free, kind of a sell-out with Bad Co, but you can't deny that voice!

Whenever I see the words "sell out" I always lol.

From what I gather, the 2 Pauls, Simon and Andy paid their dues in Free so I don't begrudge him (and Simon) cashing in with Bad Co. Free was such an incredible band:

Nothing touches my soul like Free. Forget "All Right Now". There's so much great music on their records. It's such a shame that that single brought them so much success but also stood as the one track they're most known for. When they were at their peak - either live or in the studio - they were without peer in my opinion. For sheet songwriting and musicianship, they're as good as it gets in my book.

It helps that Paul wasn't exactly handsome. Age just adds character.

Couldn't agree more. I like this one song by Bad Co, "Silver, Blue, and Gold." You don't hear it too much on the radio anymore.

My fave...
Haven't always dug his career/material choices or (all his post-Free musician hires), but he's an incredible singer w/ great presence, ridiculous range and is as strong vocally as ever.
He's a work-out freak, though there's little doubt he's had at least a facelift and some hair added (or wears a rug). Wasn't that that long ago he resembled the Cowardly Lion...

One of the all time great rock voices. Also, one that I am totally worn out on hearing due to Classic Rock stations. Not a day goes by that you won't hear a Bad Co. or Free song..or maybe even Radioactive if you are lucky!

No, Bonaduce looks a bit like Rodgers (w/ none of the talent). ;)

Paul was born in 1949, Danny in 1959.

I love Paul Rodgers.

Am I alone in really digging his work with Queen? Obviously there's no replacing Freddie, but I really like Paul's take on some of the Queen material. Kind of breathed some new life into it for me. Flame away if you think I'm out in left field.

I liked it too, as well as Brian May's take on Free/Bad Co. material.

It was very respectful w/ Brian and Roger singing almost as much as Paul and the inclusion of lots of Paul's signature material. Plus, Freddie looked up to Paul (like most singers). It also showed how deceptively high Paul's range is - some of the tunes (I Want to Break Free, for example) which were in Freddie's upper range were rather low for Paul (though in the same key). And, of course, Freddie was a total one-off, original - incredible talent/showman.

I thought Dick Clark was the Dick Clark of rock music.
