Hey guys!

So after a weird turn of events, I ended up with my old Dual Rectifier back for pretty darn cheap. I have another 4x12 cab coming, and I play to run it in Stereo with my Mesa Stiletto. For my rhythm and lead tones, both amps will be running at the same time. The Stiletto will be the primary tone, overall, with the recto underlying it for some of that classic grunt it's known for.

Now, I have an MXR Carbon Copy I want to run in the loop of one of the amps....here's where I need your opinion. Which do you think would work best:

a) Put it in the loop of the Recto ONLY on Channel 2...switch to channel 2 on the recto for leads, and keep the Stiletto running on channel 2 aswell. This way, I see the recto giving the Stiletto some more depth for leads, with the Stiletto's pure tone still running.

b) Run it in the loop of the Stiletto, and ALWAYS leave it on at a lower settings...some more ambience if you will ( a little worried this may get messy for the heavier stuff)....kind of a pseudo wet-dry rig?

c) Run it in the loop of the Recto and ALWAYS leave it on....same reason as above, but keeps the Stiletto "pure" for me...again a wet dry one, and this seems a little more reasonable, as the Stiletto is more of my main tone.

Really appreciate your opinions on which you think would optimize the sound of the setup.

Thanks much!

Eric

when I used a big rig I liked the wet dry setup best

So, you guys say to always have one amp dry, and the other always wet? Will that be the best way to get a fat and ambient tone? Should I worry about it getting messy at all?

Thanks much!

I'd go w/ "c"
