real 1960 Hofner Lefty exc cond; value?

Hi bassmen .,
I have acess to an exc cond heavily flamed back Hofner bass ...said to be 1960 ...looks like a beatle bass going from memory ...could take pics .
no F holes ....what might it be worth ... Got Paul`s number ?

I do not know the answer, but they are uncommon. I worked on my friend's 3 months ago. Great distinctive tone for sure!

Set it with short scale flatwound strings (Hofner, Thomastik, Pyramid). It is designed to sound like a doublebass, not like a modern bass, so forget sustaining notes. Because of the short scale, pitch accuracy at the attack stage of the sound is poor. Check if the controls, pickups and tuning gears still work and the tuning pegs are not broken or about to do it. Does it come with the pickguard and thermometer case?
