OHHH!!! Wow! How adorable! How many are there? I can see 4 for sure......

Are they spoken for already? Just curious.

There are four and we have statements of interest for a few, but no commitments yet. I'm going to be pretty selective. JRT's don't fit in every type of home. I'd rather keep all of them!!!

You want to make sure those babies will be cared for (and tolerated?). Not lap dogs for sure! The breeder who sold me the first Westie did the same thing. Most dogs require a certain type of owner. A shame not every breeder is so careful!

Those puppies are just so cute. I want to come to your house and snuggle them!

"[...Not lap dogs for sure!]"

Not true at all!! My little JRT will cuddle and love you 24/7/365. She thrives on cuddling. It's her favorite activity. In fact she's trying to get my attention as I type this because she wants caressed. She's definitely a little lover and a big (well, actually little) baby. And unlike most JRTs I've seen she's scared of cats. She's a very gentle JRT. The breeder we got her from claimed to have successfully bred most of the hyperactivity out of their JRTs. And after having owned ours for almost 8 years I'd definitely have to say they were successful...at least with ours. She loves people and gets excited when someone first comes to the house but she settles down within just a few minutes and becomes very mellow. They need lots of exercise though to help burn energy. We try to walk her at least 20 minutes a day and longer on weekends. In the winter she doesn't always get walked if it's slick outside, but she does just fine. She naps a lot when we can't take her out and sleeps when we're at work. And except for some shedding she's just about the ideal house dog...I mean 4 legged person. ;) By the way, those JRT pups are really adorable. JRTs are just about the cutest pups you'll ever see.

My dog (not a JRT) is just the opposite. In the winter, he is going non-stop. If there is no one to run him or work him, he runs himself.

In the summer, he hibernates on the concrete basement floor except for the very early mornings and in the evenings after the sun has gone down. And his food intake is reduced substantially.

I agree. In fact, I would not consider any breeder that did not ask me substantially more questions than I ask them. They need to know everything about potential homes and why they want their particular breed. They will ensure you have EVERY possible piece of negative information about the breed, also. And they will offer to take the dog back at any point in it's life if for whatever reason, you are not able to keep it.
