I'm going to a conference in early April. The conference is at the Nashville Convention Center on Commerce street. I can stay at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel and have the convenience of being right on the premises for the conference but was wondering if there are any other decent accomodations nearby.

I could go with something really nice or the other way with someplace inexpensive and save a few bucks.

Really looking forward to visiting there. I'm going to spend some extra time there checking out the city. Any cool places to check out gear enjoy music, etc. are appreciated too.

Thanks.

Gruhn's,Corner Music is a great place to go. I would say Chambers Guitars,
but i don't know if it still exists. There should be plenty of downtown acc-
omindations to choose from.

stay at the renaissance. It's a real pain to get in/out (parking) of there during conventions.

Pick up a copy of the Nashville Scene, for music listings, etc.

Places to hear music:

3rd & Lindsey
Roberts
Station Inn
Rutledge
12th & Porter

Ask us again closer to the date...might have better suggestions as to specific bands.

We stayed at the Hilton this past summer....all the rooms are Suites.
It's also a block from Broadway, Hall of Fame, etc.
Id definately stay there again.
