But who's going to rant and rave on the sidelines?

He inherited a team that was already bad. It was not his fault. I don't think he shoulda been fired.
Exactly. The Raiders and Niners need new owners period. They will continue to suck until that time comes.

Well you can't fire the players, so the coach & GM are the only options.

The 49ers need to fire their owner! It's a sad story of a once great franchise...

YES. Exactly! I think the Lions also need a change in ownership.
I don't think it was Nolan's fault either.

As long as we're talking about getting rid of owners, the first one that needs to go is Ol' Jerry. He'll be the ruin of this team, if he hasn't been already.
careful what you wish for with ownership changes.
a byproduct is relocation.

Sorry guys........in the games I've seen, Nolan made blunder after blunder in time management, substitutions, and just plain dumb decisions.
He may have been dealt a lousy hand, but he sure didn't maximize it.

I hope this doesn't end badly for Singletary. I think he will make a good coach.

No I agree, but that's all they can get with a club/organization this bad. I've been a Niner fan since their pre-Superbowl days and I've actually predicted exactly how many wins they were going to have the last 3 years. This year I told my father-in-law 4 wins during the off season. I said I'd take away a win from last year for Norv Turner leaving. He had to cringe because he knew I was right again. Sorry but Vince Lombardi could maybe squeeze 5 out of this bunch. They're trying. They just suck. Players play.

Funny how he manages to screw up the cowboys with every move he makes. A real Al Davis wannabe. :knitting

When you hitch your wagon to a first overall pick who turns out to be a bust, you are finished as a coach.

The not so secret rumor is that Holmgren is going to be coaching there after a brief hiatus.
