Malcolm Holcombe anyone?

A friend of mine invited me to a house party last night to see one of his influences - some guy named Malcolm Holcombe. I'd never heard any of Malcolm's music, and had only heard his name mentioned by my friend. Wow - what an interesting cat! Kind of like a musical version of the main character in "Sling Blade". Off the hook funny stage banter (though I'm not quite sure it was meant to be funny). Great acoustic tone and playing, and good tunes.

Someone mentioned to me that Malcolm has done some recordings with Greg Leisz. I guess it's time to get a few of these CD's. Anyone into Malcolm Holcombe and have suggestions as to where to start?

Malcolm's been around a long time. He played around Asheville for years, and went to Nashville at some point. I'm not into the "acoustic thing" and luckily have always stayed pretty busy with my music, so I haven't heard him, but he's got a good rep for what he does.
