What else is out there other than the Malekko Echo and MXR carbon copy? I'm not looking for Boss pedals, I would just like to try something new.

The Maxon analog's are pretty small and sound exceptional.

The MP Deep Blue Delay is a tape delay type sound in a 1290 enclosure.

BYOC's are digital but voiced analog, and are in a 125b enclosure.

ModTone's are small and damn cheap too. Not band sounding of you're looking for the short time style.

Analogman makes a 300 and 600ms analog delay pedal.

The Jacques Prisoner is worth a look: modulation and of sub-boss proportions.

cheers!

I dunno if it's analog or not... but my Thundertweak Delay is awesome... small footprint and it sounds great!!!

They're not REALLY analog. OTOH, I think the "it's not analog!" prejudice against PT-2399-based delays is silly. They usually sound great and are much quieter and better-behaved than their analog counterparts.

I really like my Rocktron Short Timer and think it sounds better and more analog than my Arion analog delay (which is mostly muddy). Too bad the Short Timer case is so darn bulky.

Ibanez or Keeley modded AD-9. The Keeley AD-9 is excellent for short, ambient delay and slapback.

BBE Two Timer. Not real small but not huge either. 2 Analog Delays in 1 pedal. Sounds like a old DM-2 / DM-3. Very quiet and not real expensive. Plus one of the great pedal graphics of all time.

I like the Ibanez the best (Maxxon is the same thing but with longer times but no 9v).

The important thing is if you use it in stereo, you need to put a dummy plug in the 'dry' output and run the dry from a pedal prior to it in the chain if you don't want to lose high end.

I know it's not analog, but one would be hard pressed to say this was inorganic compared to a Carbon Copy. Very sweet indeed!
