Who makes this looper switcher, I see alot of them here but not familiar with company.http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/Rockon4eBay/Pedal%20Board/th_k.jpg
Any other makers of such and items other than voodoo labs?
Why are you guys using them? does it really help keep original tone? What the difference in using this and just a bunch of true bypass pedals instead? Educate me on this!! Thank you guys.
highfive!

The idea is that you have access to ALL your effects up front, instead of reaching into the back row to turn things on and off. You leave all your effects on, and you switch them through the looper. Some of them even have a Master bypass, so you can bypass everything at once. They are can have a Tuner out, which grounds out the downstream pedals, for silent tuning.
They are very convinient to have if you have more than 4 or 5 pedals.
Loooper used to make them too, but has has had Carpel Tunnel issues, and as far as I can tell he is still NOT making them at this point.

I'm thinking of getting a loop switcher, I have a cry baby, an RS 808 OD, and a RS stereo chourus, that I run into the input of my amp, this is straight forward regarding the looper, no issue;
However, in the effects loop of my amp I run a DL4 and a clean boost, how do I connect these pedals to the looper and still run those pedals through the effeccts loop of my amp? Do I need a second loop pedal for the effects loop in my amp?

Yes. You would need two.

I have a few noob questions about the loopmaster too. Are you able to run more than one effect on a single loop channel? If so, is there anyway to run a single effect on 2 or more channels? Like a delay that you use for for ch 1 and 2.

Yes on the first question.
And on the second, place the delay past the switcher and you will have delay in addition to anything in the loops. Or, you can have an intermediate input and output somewhere in the loop series to place the delay and it will be on all the time.

oh and by the way I recently made the longest true bypass looper ever (at least to my knowing). It has 13 channels + master bypass + tuner out. I will auction it off on ebay soon. Here are some pictures:

I recently added a simple two-looper box, very useful. One switch is an A/B, which I find really handy for selecting one drive or another. Few of the loopers I see are wired for this one click either/or action. The other switch bypasses both loops. It'd be nice to have a third switch for selecting both loops simultaneously.

Hi, just received the custom 4-looper with boost that I bought off ebay from you. Nice job, it's going to make my life a whole lot easier.
I also have a 3-looper from Loopmaster which is excellent and is now going to take care of the things I have going through my amp's effects loop.
I would recommend both highly!
Hi there
apart from AnalogMP's post which looks interesting (but maybe a one off don't know never seen them B4 tonight ?) the best option for analog control of 10 loops of stomp pedals, two amps and controlling FX on amps whilst being able to eliminate tap dance + gives pre & post boost options and eliminates noise headaches: is the Gigrig Pro 14....... no contest!!!
Tell me something that does better.... cause I have not found it!
I can now control more pedals than I ever dreamed of, quietly effectively and flexibly its big but a lot cheaper than a Pete Cornish or a Custom Audio system
and believe me I lived through the 80's rack insanity that made everybody sound the same!
Mid life crises ex pro muso, having fun with new toys!

Next to the pedal itself, it's the best gear on my boards. The guy does great work. In addition to routing and bypassing, you can "stack" pedals. Hence, you can have channel one, channel two, channel one & two.....I use mine to stack an OD and distortion pedal. Turns a one-trick-pony amp into a 4channel monster.
