I plan on doing something different this year. I'm going to adopt a couple children from our local angel tree and have my family buy those kids gifts instead of buying things for me.

I was going to ask for some LL Bean flannel pajamas, but now I feel guilty.

Not much $$ to go around this Christmas. So we are taking care of a few things to take stress off us. Like new jeans, some shirts that don't need ironing, and a trip to the movies or two. If I'm really good I might get a concert DVD or a couple of CDs. Lincoln Brewster, Joe Bonamassa, or Mayer are on the short list. I'm gassing for some pedals, but that's probably not going to happen.

The little one will hopefully get a couple of recycled Little Tykes outdoor pieces if I can make a Craigslist score.

I need a new Mac real bad. I may unfortunately inherit one soon :( My MIL is close to the end, and she has a real nice 20" iMac. But I really hate to get a new Mac that way. She's been the best MIL ever. I can't make normal MIL jokes about her at all. A perfectly sweet old lady with a keen and wacky sense of humor. I'm going to miss her. In fact, I already do. Sorry to be a bummer, but it's been a crappy year for our family.

I got my christmas present this summer when I had cataract surgery, and basically got my eyesight back better than I've ever had before. Other than that, I'd just like to get a job again.

A day gig for me and the group of five that I supervise. We are all getting let go around that time due to a company sale and move of the office out of state.

The best Christmas present for me would be the ability for our nuclear family (wife, daughter, me) to pretty much ignore Christmas altogether. The wife feels the same. We don't need anything and can't afford to buy stuff for friends and relations who don't need anything either. Not intending to be Scroogey, it's just gotten to be too much stress.
