Its the low end thing, thats why Ive never owned a fuzz pedal. Jack`s playing was terrific, but I just cant get around how the lowest notes turn to such flub. Great demo Jack , thanks for putting it up for a listen.:dude

I love that sound, I guess thats why I've always loved fuzz pedals. Good Demo Jack.

You're welcome. I guess it's a jimi sort of thing. If you dig the low-tech on-the-verge-of-chaos sounds that Jimi got, you will love this pedal. If you like the tighter eric johnson approach to jimi tones, a vintage type fuzz pedal may not be the ticket. However, I will say that running this pedal into a zendrive2 or Tim pedal with the fuzz set lower gives you a really gorgeous sound. I'll probably demo that too...

Gah, that pedal sounds fantastic. KR just nails it every time, IMO. Makes me feel like my Gypsy Fuzz needs his brother lol.

:D I couldn't part with my precious Gypsy. I guess they'll have to become pen pals or something haha. I was watching your demos of the Mega Vibe as well...do they even make a bad pedal? I'm excited to hear some people pick up the wah whenever it comes out and see how it sounds as well. At any rate, enjoy the demos, man!

Thanks. I didn't know they had a wah coming out. I saw it on the site but thought it was a discontinued product. Does he have a wah page?

Thanks. I had not seen that or the super fuzz. I'll be interested to hear clips of that.

Yeah, the way I read it (I know they already directed you to the wah) they've got it, a distortion and trem. Unless those two are discontinued or something, I'll be very interested to hear the trem as well.
I'm sure you've had to answer this question a million times already, but how long of a wait did you have for The Fuzz?

I got it used but i've been looking for about 5 months so I guess you could say that I have a 5 month wait-time. I had a chance to buy a used gypsy fuzz too but I passed on it. Now, I wish I had gotten it just to do the comparison.

Ah, I see. I guess the wait time is the only real downside to these pedals. I know their site says something like a 3-4 month wait period but I've heard others have had to wait much longer than that, I'd guess just because of the demand.
To my ears, Shane's demo of The Gypsy pretty much nails it. But I'm sort of in the same boat, I'd like to pick up The Fuzz to throw in the mix alongside the Gypsy.

I'll have to check out Shane's gypsy demo again. I did a while back. I still want to know what the diff is between the gypsy and the fuzz is. In other words, is it worth getting both? Is the fuzz basically a gypsy with the contour control or are they totally different? I wish someone would lend me their gypsy so I could do a demo of the two of them!

Well, from what I can tell from your demo, they seem to be different beasts. My opinion is that it would be worth picking up both. The Fuzz seems to be grittier (I'm very terrible at describing a fuzz sound, so pardon that) and the grit to The Gypsy seems to my ears to be smoother. Everything I've gathered about The Fuzz is that it has more gain on tap, and I can definitely believe that; not a whole lot there in The Gypsy, but man it layers so incredibly IMO.

Jack,
I am out here near Seattle in the woods. If I get any of the KR stuff I will ship it to you so you can do exploratory research on it for one week. If you will ship it back by priority after the week. That will be my thanks for the help you have been demoing various pedals and amps. I bought a Grosh based on your videos and the videos of Anthony Stauffer. And other stuff too. Thanks!
Best Regards,
Steve
