I say a brontosaurus on TV the other day and thought "Wow, that would make for one huge party!" How about some pulled T-Rex samiches? So chicken, pork....?

I've heard it said that 99% of all species that ever lived are extinct. Can you IMAGINE how much good eating we're missing out on?

Eat a snake or a lizard and you'll have your answer...in other words, like sh*t.

No doubt. It definitely would be right up there with the rest of his tales from the frontier. And about as legitimate.:rotflmao

Since dinos are related to birds, I'd say chicken. Probably gamey though.

The "like chicken" comments are probably spookily close to the mark. I watched a show on Nat Geo or Discovery about the relationship.
Please allow for my limited understanding, but the way I understood it the genetic material that "made" dinosaurs still exists in birds, but some of it has been "turned off". In other words, without adding anything, experimenters were able to "unblock" some of the genetic code and develop bird embryos that started growing dinosaur-like features... teeth, scales, etc.
Forget about Jurassic Park and the blood in the mosquito in the amber... truth is stranger than fiction.

weren't they like lizards or reptiles, cold blooded animals?
Close to like snake or some other metallic tasting meat?

I reckon that the species that ate plants were probably pretty tasty! However the T-Rex's and such were probably stringy , oily and gamey...ick.
Gimme a duck billed dinosaur burger , they were herbivores and a nice size to feed a family of 37!

If Scientists can recreate dinos They could solve world hunger! Of course if dinos fart a lot that could speed up global warming.

Dino meat couldn't have tasted too bad because they certainly ate enough of each other. Raw.

The earlier ones did evolve from reptiles, but then diverged in to the warm-blooded group that includes birds. But we keep finding bird/dino transitionary species further and further back in the fossil record, so it is still unclear as to which came first, or if they diverged from a common ancestor in to two clades (though I believe current thinking still has dinosaurs evolving first).
