I miss him a lot.

"So I see our friend in summer. I see his face. I hear his laugh, I feel his joy, his absolute delight in the life God gave him. Timothy J. Russert, noble, honorable, intensely loyal. He loved and was loved by his wife, his son, his family, his friends, and a huge slice of this
great country of ours.

He was a boy of summer. He met his wife on a summer day. His son was born in summer. And so it is that we blow him a kiss goodbye on a soft summer evening, this sweetheart of a man who always, always left us smiling."

Big fan. I trusted him, also. Remember his little chalkboard?

He was truly a hero of mine. He was a great man and I for one will miss him as if he were a close friend.

Gang - NO politics, and that includes discussion of the upcoming election.

Thanks.

Great journalist and by all accounts a greater guy.

If you never have, read Big Russ & Me. I grew up in Buffalo too (albeit 2 decades later) and really believe that we generally take on the values of those we are surrounded by as we grow up. He truly exemplified that in a good way.

As he would be saying this time of year - "Go Bills!"
