I'm wanting to upgrade my rig with a wireless set-up, but i don't have a whole lot of money to spend.

can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive kit that doesn't sacrifice too much reliability?

thanks for the help guys!

The X2 is the best there is for the money. Does not mess with your tone , or compress the signal. They run around 275 to 299 discounted.Worth every penny too.I have tried them all.

line 6 is the best? that's suprising, i saw this guitarbug thing online for pretty cheap, how do those usually work out?

Ive went thru 3 of the bugs. They sound good for the money, but they are very prone to breaking. The bug part is not sturdy, and breaks a lot.
They also change your tone and make your sound squishy from the companding. Believe me the L6/X2 is leaps and bounds better than all but a few of the mega dollar units.By mega $$ I mean 1K+ units, and then it equals any of them tonally.

I have an X2 XDS-95. I played with a fellow who was using a Bug last week. He's no longer using the Bug. I think he threw it out.

for the money and the quality... The X2, now owned by Line 6 is the best out.
I have 2 of them, one for vocals and one for my rig. Look at ebay, or save up and buy a new one.

It has been perfect for me.

Guitarded Center has a Nady UHF diversity wireless system for $60. I bought two of these the last time they did a massive sale like this, over 3 years ago. Rigged one receiver up in my rack, used the two transmitters for my main and backup stage basses. Never failed me, but I didn't like its affect on my low B string.

It is reliable, good, and I have only one complaint. For $60, it's the best entry-level system you can get.

However, if you want the best audio quality you can get, the X2 systems are the best you can get right now. The all-digital design exceeds anything Nady or Shure can transmit. I've upgraded now to the XDS-Plus system, and rack-mounted it. It's sound does not change, when swapping back and forth with a short cable. Absolutely transparent.
