Posting some pics I took at Knob Creek Machinegun Shoot a couple weeks ago...

The show was excellent this year. Hot, sunny, lots of tracers and explosions at the Night Shoot.

Ever see a fire Tornado? How bout a General Electric Minigun, 6-barrel 100-rounds per SECOND of .308 (aka 7.62x51)...

Fire Tornado appx 30-40 feet high... Guy used a flame-thrower to get it going.

I'm sure you guys all chipped in and bought some GoreCo Carbon Credits to offset the smoke released into the air.

I went for my first and only trip in 2003. I'll never forget the whistle blowing and hearing the eruption of the Quad .50 BMG's, the MG34's, and the MG42's followed by pin drop silence as a crowd of at least a thousand of spectators (and most of the shooters) all turned to our right with the same 'what the hell was that?' expression on our faces when the Ignatius J. Reilly looking guy with the electric minigun let it rip for the first time. I can't even imagine how much money in ammo that guy goes through over the course of the weekend.

Dang, that looks better than an approaching burn torching spruce. Good deal. They have a club in Anchorage too.

I'm closer to Lexington...

Knob Creek is right outside Louisville near the Ohio River.

What is really interesting... You picked up on something the normal gun enthusiast wouldn't have.
Really.
It is a figure of speech ONLY guys who shoot would understand and respect.

Shouldn't you guys be taking over a small country somewhere? Just kidding.

That looks amazing. I wished I could have been there to see it.

Holy Crap . . . . . . I didn't know folks could own that kind of stuff.
I'll bet the flame thrower clears brush really quick.

When I went back in the early 90's, there was a guy with 3 (yes 3) miniguns on the same tripod! It just roared and the brass piled up underneath.....

This wasn't the event that where the "adult-supervised" 8 year old shot himself in the head firing an Uzi is it?

I'm not hatin', just asking...

No. That was some event on the east coast I believe.

The chick with the machinegun was in the booth next to where I was. She (and another hot babe) were having fun shooting everything they could...

My fav was the miniature full-auto replica machineguns.
Miniatures that fired full-auto .22LR belt-fed. VERY cool!
