I have two thermostats next to each other at home...one for central air and another for heating. Is there a thermostat where I can combine the two?
The central air unit was put in about 10 years after the house was built...
Thanks!

Absolutely. There's lots of great units out there, most of them programmable these days.
I'm surprised they didn't install one when they installed the AC.
You can probably pickup one up at Home Depot. Maybe even Walmart.
One question: do you have electric baseboard heating? That might limit your options.

I have water baseboard heating (using oil furnace). This thermostat should be pretty easy to install right? I guess I would have to feed the heating therm wires through the wall to get them to the central air wires.
Any particular model you recommend?
Thanks!
It will probably have a slider switch that you have to move from Heat to Cool.

Tons of thermostats available ... I'd say do some searches online to see which ones are best.
When I got my new one, I just went to Home Depot, made sure it had the programming options I needed. bought it, rewiring was fairly easy with the directions.
I am not sure how far apart the two thermostats are but doing a new hole and running the wire over to there ... could be a bit of a pain sometimes.
g'luck!

Mine is an Aprilaire. Another name brand would be Honeywell. If they are right next to each other it should be very easy to connect to a single unit.
