I hope Dave doesn't mind, but wanted to let all of you who wrote in support of Dave's quitting know that he is at the two week mark today. Congratulations and keep up the hard work!

Hang in there. It's all just habbit now. The physical addiction is over in just a few days and it only gets easier and better after that. You can do it Dave!!!

Way to go man - keep it up. I'm at almost six months and still get the urge every now and then. Stay strong!

It's been almost three years for me and anytime I think about a smoke I just think of how I breath much better and don't cough. Besides at this point smoking a cigarette would probably make me sick.

Congrats, the important thing for me was to keep the frame of mind that I don't smoke. Not that I quit smoking or am an ex-smoker. It's been 10 months for me

Thanks Sandy for the props and thanks for the support of my fellow Gear Pagers!
In the past when I've quit (did it for like 8 years at one stretch) I went cold turkey.
This time I'm chewing nicorette so I actually have another habit to wean myself off of as well as staying away from smokes.
I'm slowly disengaging from the nicorette now so I am on track.
Your kind words do help. So thanks!
