Can I run my SF Princeton Reverb through a 4 ohm cab?

Sorry if this is dumb question...

I have a '71 SF Princeton Reverb. I believe it's an 8 ohm out. Can I safely run this through a 4ohm 2x12?

Not a dumb question :D - It's generally ok to run your amp at half impedance without any issues. I've done it quite a few times with no harm. You might lose some headroom or power, but it should be ok. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

I have one cab that I rewired and put on a switch so I can switch it from 8 and 2 ohms, maybe you can rewire your cabinet for more options?
