Half of Sarah McLachlan's catalog. I do like her music though, great use of melody.

Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt" and "Give My Love to Rose" (off his American Recordings) are both very powerful.

Any Nirvana or Smashing Pumpkins.
Yes, we get it. You're a depressed little intellectual and no one understands you and your parents got divorced and you're angry at the jocks and you take drugs.
I GET IT!
LOL!!!!
"The Ledge" by the Replacements - great song though!

"Cat's in the Cradle" and "Taxi" by Harry Chapin definitely light up the incoming lines at the suicide prevention center, IMO...
"24", by the Red House Painters. I heard it when I was 21, and it made the next 3 years HELL. When I turned 24, it was absolutely as bad as Mark Kozelek said it was going to be in the lyrics of that song. It's a BEAUTIFUL song, though.

Society Eddie Vedder. From the Into the Wild soundtrack. It's so sad when you realize that boy died for no reason. Great song, though.

Nights in White Satin. Sounds like something you'd play at a toddler's funeral.

In general I like sad songs.
Patti Labelle's version of the Star Spangled Banner at one of the WS games was downright depressing though.

Anything by Madonna. She just irritates me in general. Horrible, unbelievably obnoxious voice, terrible fashion sense, hideous manly, muscular body, and she has a massive diva ego. :messedup
