Yup.Probably the best thang Roger's done since he had that brain fart and left Pink Floyd.Oh well.
That's one of my alltime favorite J.B. tracks.Really brilliant and fits the attitude of the song to a "T".

That's one of my alltime favorite J.B. tracks.Really brilliant and fits the attitude of the song to a "T".I totally agree - wonderful nasty electric tone, and great attitude guitar playing. Few players in all history have more 'tude than Jeff Beck, IMHO.
Plus, the guy can flat out play!
Thanks for posting this link, Dana O.
Ah, that amazing tone...I think if anyone else tried to play with that tone, people would run screaming in horror, (especially if it were me playing with it!)...if you haven't heard yet, the solo on part 3 is not of this world...those slide type tones with the wammy bar just slay me!...again, not of this world. The live video on youtube is pretty cool too. Sound quality isn't as good but the performance is special. Beck is just wrestling and strangling that Strat!
If I had 1/10th the talent exhibited here, (writing and/or playing), I'd be happy!
Found this one too:

Is that slide?
I can't tell when Beck is playing side b/c he's so good at using the trem and the volume knob to mimic slide like tones. Unless he's playing straight blues slide I'm lost.
No slide in sight, just slide type tones with the trem...how does he do that? :D
